Are these subs any good, i heard them at a local stereo shop and they pound the crap out of my jl 12 w3's

Loudness depends on the setup more than anything. Maybe the shop has more than tripple the power to that sub that you have with your JL..

There's alot of factors. Crossfire subs to my experiance all suffer from noticable cone distortion...

they were running a crossfire 1000watt amp, im running a sony xplod 1000 watt amp
