HU Install Sucess.....

Hey everyone, just finished installing my new Alpine CDA-7893 and I am very pleased. I have one question though about the illumination. When I was messing around with it, I noticed that the blue lights that lite up the HU were on. Are they suposed to be on all the time or only when I turn on my headlights, or are they sensitive to light? I was in my garage when doing the installation and it was sort of dark. Thanks for you alls help!

What "blue lights" are you talking about exactly? Your unit should always be illuminated with the key in the accessory position or the on position. The hu will just dim slightly when you turn the headlights on.

alex053 will become famous soon enough
They are supposed to be on all the time. If you have the "illumination" wire hooked up they will dim when you turn your lights on so the deck is not so bright at nite.
