Walling Off a 2K1 TRUNK!!
I got a ? for everyone out there, Does anyone know how to Wall of a trunk? If u can u tell me anything u know about it! It could realy help.....

it sucks. there are two supports on either side of teh trunk that have to go. once those are out, its not too complicated, but proximity to teh shock towers makes glassing the wall in there kinda tough.
its definitely a neato project, i was gonna do it till i decided to up my box volume, but its just a matter of bolting and glassing a sheet of MDF or birch or both in there.
word of warning, when you pull the supports, youll get MASSIVE MASSIVE bodyroll till you bolt and glass the wood in there, they actually do quite a bit for the stiffness of yoru car!
but once the wood is bolted in there, if you do it securely, then your ride will be even stiffer than it was before.
if you dont care about an airtight seal, then just bolt a piece of MDF directly to those stuts i was talking about and your done. quick job and you wont have to worry about pulling struts you dont technically have to.
as to sealing it AND keeping those struts in, i got three words for you. good f***ing luck. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
