Save yourself the trouble, Measure your 6X9's
Save yourself the trouble, Measure your 6X9's
Don't be a dumbass like me, I bought some RF 6X9's on an impulse and never had the thought to measure my stock 6X9's, well to make a long story short, I spent about 2 hours ripping my interior panels apart only to find out that the Rockfords were too big for the spot. The magnet was resting on the trunk crossbar
Anyway the Rockfords were 3" deep so I would figure that if you were looking for 6X9's go for something with a depth of 2" or less
I was pretty pissed about my mistake, but oh well I'll just return them and at least I know how to install the 6X9's now....

Dont feel bad man, I did the same thing, I ripped the hell out of the back of the car only to find out that the Kenwood Xcelons I bought were to deep, I am thinking I will do Greys DIY and put the shocks in that way I can have what I want in there with no worries.

I had the same problem, but I got the speakers to barely fit and they hit the trunk springs. The best thing I did was give the 6by9s to my GF and buy good components for the front...you will not miss the back speakers at all if you invest in good front speakers.
