whats your opinions on this?


i saw this on sale at circuit city for 129 the bazooka el8a , it is the 8" amplified, not the new 8a HP but just the normal amplified model. how deep is the bass if it goes to 39hz. or so and 100 watts.

i was thinking of putting this in a civic lx coupe.


as far as the rest of the system, probably get a alpine 7894 for about 300 from ebay or a pioneer 7400mp for about 220

the reason i am leaning toward the alpine is the supposedly good amp it has built in with 27 rms X 4 when hooked directly with a proper amp kit. while the pioneer is 22 x 4 with no amp kit needed.
what is better hu wise?

and for rear fill i already have pioneer 6975 6X 9 , any opinion on using these since they are free for me?

and i need to get front speakers which i think i will get infinity kappas for about 100ish..kappa 62.5i or 63.5i, whats better for 100 or 125 respectively? also from ebay or online.


this would make the system total 129 + 300 + free 6x9 plus 100 kappas = 550 ish.

and any reccomendations on getting everything but the head unit. just to avoid theft, thats the biggest attraction to a theif since all else is hidden.


i am looking for good clean sound with decent volume levels, much much better than factory and cleaner and crisper i hope, but dont need the whole street to hear it thump.

any better ideas for that amount of money?

eww... no... no bazooka... and honestly, you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between 22w and 27w if you tried... and an amp kit for a HU? thats silly...
