Speaker Question???
I'm planning to hook up an 1 12" L7 subs with (Lanzar amp). My front speakers are Infinity reference series powered by Phoenix Gold 90.2. What speaker should I put on the deck? Some say un hook the stock, and i read one of the threads about 6x9???? Also, wil it be better if I connect a passive/active crossover so I can really tune the sounds??? Thank YOu!!!
Hook up the sub and leave the stocks. Then see what you think. If you want more from the back get aftermarket 6x9's. Then if it still isn't enough from the rear get an amp.
Personally I doubt you'll need an amp for the rears. Like 85% of your sound should be coming from the fronts to have imaging correct. Before you do anything to the rears get an amp for the fronts.
If you do get 6x9's for the rear, ask again. Those damn bars on the trunk to spring it open get in the way for 75% of all aftermarket 6x9's.

i think active is a better choice cuz they are usually at least 2nd order or 3rd order filters...
i think the problem with active filters is that if it uses a cheap opamp, noise will be introduced into the sound and then get amplified by the amp....
