Stock Alternator Amperage

Does anyone know what the stock alternator amperage is? I serached.. didn't find it. I'm gonna be running 3 JL amps - 1000.1 and 2 300.2s. Haven't figured the total amperage draw yet.. nontheless i'm trying to figure out if an aftermarket alt will be necessary. Anyone know?

It is right at about 60 amps at 3500 rpm, if I am not mistaken....not positive. I know it isn't much. I am running 1 JL 250/1 on a JL 12w3 with a half farad cap and my lights dim when I crank it. If you are going to be running alot of power, you may want to consider an upgraded alternator. They are not cheap and they can be hard to find, but its better than having to leave your car b/c you battery is drained.

I asked the question a few weeks ago and was told 70 amps from the stock alternator.

The thread is here:

Alternator question

I sent an e-mail to powermax.com inquiring about an alternator big enough to run a 1,600 watt RMS system. They will build an alternator with 130 AMPs at idle/200+ at 2,000 RPM for ~$850 - very pricey but I have nothing to compare to.

davidCPA, that price is way too much, talk to mohawk, he got a 160 amp ohio generator for 616, and i believe you can buy a 120 or 130 for 245 at mralternator.com
think of it this way, whiterabbit is running 1860 rms on a fully STOCK system... although I wouldnt do it, he has proven it...
