EQ question

Is it wise to put an EQ unit when my headunit has a built in 7band iEQ? I have a jvc KD-SH707 and i also have a 7band EQ laying around

Typically, 7-band EQ offers enough flexibility to tune the music to most people's taste. However, if you were looking to truly dial in your sound, progressing to a 15 to 30-band EQ would probably be the next step. These can easily be hooked up to your current deck and you should have no issues. Having both the 7-band and 30-band could actually be convenient in that you have the ability to "tweak" the system with the 30-band while being able to change some rough settings on the fly from the head unit.

Have fun and good luck!
