Alarm light??
Hey everybody,
I'm new here... I have a 2002 civic DX 4dr, my question is how to install led light that goes on when the car is turned off. I had this led light installed in a 1995 Accord, it was hooked up to the fuse box, the wires end look like the end to speaker wire ends, (there is two wires, + & -).
THANKZ A LOT!!

well you have a few options.. many actually...
You can wire the LED directly to the power on the fuse box and ground it and wire it to a switch so you can turn it on and off when you want. You can buy an alarm system ..

that would be tricky...it's easier just to wire it to a switch..you'd need a relay.. a battery..and some other goodies to do what you want
or better yet go buy that kind of led at radioshack for a couple of bucks so all you need to do is hook it up to +12v and GND...and voila you have a dummy light but in this case you'll need a switch or if you're electonically minded...use an NPN transistor so it will only work when the engine is off....nah..thats too hard....just connect it to +12V and the accessory wire...
