Difference between Kicker L5 & L7?
What's the difference between Kicker L5 & L7? Besides the RMS... L7 better quality?
Thinking of going 12" L7 + JBL 600.1 amp.

the L5's use last years model cones and voice cols..and a Stamped steel basket. the L7's used a die cast aluminum basket and a metal impregnated cone and a longer throw spider..

All right, thanks for the answer......here's another question.
What's the difference here? The black is the older version of the L7?

The performance between the two is unnoticable in DB's from what I know. Basically, if you have a bigger amp that you need a larger power handling for, you go with the L7. I went with the L5 because I think it is pointless to spend more for an L7 when you just have top spend more money on a larger amp to power it, and you will be getting the same performance out of it. Slap a Kicker KX 600.1 amp one an L5 down to 1 Ohm and you got mad bass from one 12" without ever being able to get the amp even warm. Plus you can get that set up for under $400 if you hunt around.

I went ahead and purchased the L7 ($180) and a JBL 600.1 ($170)
