what amp for a jlw6
more power is always better, as long as you realize you need ot go easy on teh gains....its all about headroom.....
headroom is also the reason people complain that the 1200.1 is too much for a pair of perfects. see people in competition with them where headroom is very much a used concept, then buy and blow.
300.2 is good, 500.1 is better. we installed a single 12w6 in a boat off a 500/1, it cna take it, as long as the amp nor sub are clipping, and playing in intended use range (no playing 10 Hz with teh gain all the way up)

looks like i'll be goin for the 500/1. What kind of amp kit should i get? Would the 4 gauge be the best, i might get components and an amp for them later on too so would this be the safest way to go?
