I am going to be upgrading my subs, and making a custom enclosure. I am buying a Xtant X series 12 here is a link to the site, and the product..

Basically my question is... does anyone know how these subs sound? and when making an enclosure is it best to have the sub(s) pointing into the cabin, pointing up, or pointing to the back? I just want to make the best sounding system i can. I just would really like some help with this.

about the subs, i can't say i've ever heard them, but also i've never heard anyone reccomend them to anyone... neither praise nor nebativity expressed...

about the facing direction? thats a lifelong question, you could start a neverending debate with it... my old enclosure had my subs hacing back, my new one has them facing up... same enclosure, same subs, same power, different direction, i heard no majorly noticeable difference

the subs are pretty decent sounding..I've heard them in 2 setups...pretty good..not all that much output though...

as for where to face your enclosure..

I'm running the same model sub only in a 10" version and I love it. I have been sponsored by them for awhile now, I just got my team sponsored by them last week. The company is great, it is owned by Mitech(sp?), the same company who owns MTX. Xtant was only made because the people who work for MTX wanted something they could target toward the higher end of audio equipment and the result was Xtant. I'm also running the A6001 amplifier, D-Class 600x1. The thing cranks. I have never experienced any problems with them. If you want anymore info, you can actually just call up there tech dept and ask for a guy named Jason Planck, he has always been able to help me out, and last year at Iasca finals he tuned my whole setup for me.
