yeah, spare is mounted under the car =) jack under the passenger seat ... i'm not nearly done yet... still gotta buy a new sub amp and new subs... and when i do get the new amp imma drop the amps under a sheet of plexiglass (by the way, any of you know of an easy tool to cut plexiglass with? i did build my trunk setup but it took me forever because i have no building skills, just help from people)... i know lots of people have the same setup but i did it mainly for trunk room, i have a raised cover for the subs so i can just throw crap over it...

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/SOUTWBK3 Check out this link...I was thinking of getting this, which is similiar to Ludlam set-up, but I don't have the skill to move the spare tire. Plus, I live in an apartment complex, and no where to do a lot of work on my car.
I saw in a recent post by White R to use a dremel to cut Plexi, I think. Anyway, I recently bought a dremel and it is the most awesome tool to have period! I had to use it to cut the plastic ring in the doors to fit in my speakers. Add MB quart PSD 216s to the list of speakers that are a pain in the *** to fit into out cars because of the weird shaped cut-out and the plastic ring on the door.

180 bucks? damn... thats too much, and it doesn't let you relocate the spare tire, and youre stuck with 2 10's in 1.58 cubes shared space, and you can never modify it to your liking... ... find a friend with a garage they'll let you borrow and do it over time...
18.00 4x8 sheet 3/4"MDF
2.00 Box Wood Screws
4 bucks, tube of silicone
all the random pieces of metal to do the spare tire, 12 bucks...
1 day of cutting, molding, measuring and doing the spare tire work
2 hours to put together, let it sit till next day
2 hours to carpet, mount speakers, and bolt down
i could have done it in a day, but i didnt wanna rush it and screw it up considering i've never really built anything nearly this exact before...
oh, and btw, whiterabbit said the dremel was great for cutting Fiberglass, not plexiglass, although im sure you could cut plexi just fine with a dremel, i just dont know... im thinking of getting a dremel too, they got a basic one over at walmart for pretty cheap...
