MY CENTER DASH CONSOLE
ok, i'm looking for a good headunit for my car thats priced reasonably. also i was looking at that PYLE flip out LCd screen. i know its not the best but its priced well. i was thinking of putting it where my current casset AM\FM player is and putting my headunit where little cubbie hole storage crap is. everyone has pretty much done this. anyone know what would be a good headunit and a better flip out LCD screen? the problem is i don't know where to mount an in dash LCD in my car without taking u space and cramming everyting. ideas?

Well mount the HU where it should be..mount the LCD down where the cupholder is like spdrcrchk has... It's VERY illegal to have a Screen playing moviesor anythign distracting in view of the driver..if you have it in dash..the cops can see it too..and it's a Mighty hefty fine.. also.. Shop on Ebay..you can get an audiobahn 7" High Definition LCD for about $250..the OPyle LCD's have really crappoy quality pictures..
when i got my ride I installed a in-dash 7" pioneer dvd player. the thing was hot and it look real nice while playing at night. one night while i was driving down the local avenue chillin' I had the screen out and playing a little screen saver while it was pumping my music. then outta nowhere the cops pulled me over and gave me two tickets. one was for obstruction of view $650.00. and the other one was a 30 day notice to remove the screen and take it to a DMV inspection place not a private one which meant rippin off a lot of aftermarket goodies
bottomline put the screen any where else but the dash...dude believe me it took me well over a year to get my ride back the way it was.........keep this in mind the screen was seen from behind and my rear window was tinted 0% limo tint and the cops were still able to see it from back there.....

i was thinking about mounting the screen inside the double din.. and relocating the headunit to the cig lighter.. like some ppl have done.. do you guyz think the screen is still visable from the outside having it mounted that way? or i could try to mount it that way but put it deeper insde the console? wut size screen should be good to fit in there nicely?

install the screen and buy a GPS system. Then when you get pulled over it can be your GPS Sceen. And don't play it while your driving. it has to me mounted behind the front seats to play while in motion.
