display problems

hey, has anyone ever had problems seeing their display on their cars b/c of the head unit location (glare, etc.)

i got an Alpine CDA-7894 and the glare is so bad i can't see anything on the display. anyone else with a problem similar? is there anything i can do about it, this head unit was pricey and i need to be able to see it (for xm, mp3 and cd titles, etc)

thanks in advance

also, my unit's face is glossy so that could be an issue too
