NEON system question...
My father just picked up a 2000 Neon from a police auction, don't ask... I tried so hard to get him to buy a 2000 Civic instead, but he wouldn't budge... Anyways....
The 2000 Neon he got does not have the factory OEM stereo head unit in it... so he's looking for one to purchase. He found one for a 1998 Neon... so my question is, are any of familiar with the Neons and will the 98 stereo fit in the 2000 stereo bay?

I dunno if the actually stereo would fit in the hole as I don't remember what the inside of a 2000 Neon looks like, but the wiring harnesses should be the same. I don't think Dodge has changed wiring harnesses in their cars in ~15 years. I had a 95 neon that I took the stereo out of and put into my mom's 89 caravan that had the stereo stolen out of, and everything worked perfectly. I think he should just go and but a cheap aftermarket stereo from Best Buy or Circuit City or something. That'd be the best thing to do.
