breaking in subs?
i dont remember who/where i heard from but they said that brand new subs should be played at low volume the first 10 hrs. i was just wondering it this is true? if so, can you notice a big difference in sound? what are the benefits of doing so? do you have to break in regular speakers or tweeters? thankz

I wouldn't turn it up loud for about the first 4-6 hours of play time. I don't know if you can tell a difference, but if the manufacturer recommends it, I would do it. I think it lets the sub stretch the surround without a lot of pressure...but that could be B.S. It is just what I was told.

it's a Myth....you crank em right out of the box..also break in is generally done with the woofer free air with about 3-60 watts playing Inadible tones to stretch the suspension..
