Question to the guy who put his cdplayer by his ebrake

Ok if you run across this or someone can remind me who he was... I would appreciate it.

What I want to know is what did you use to mount the hu in the place of the storage compartment. I am in the middle of doing this with a dvd player and LOVE the way it looked in your car.

Thanks

I mounted my head unit cage to a cut piece of plywood, then mounted that on spacers to the top board, also thin ply, which I sanded slowly to the right shape in the center console. cut the hole JUST big enough to fit HALF of the deck trim ring through, so it was flush to the surface. then i filled the space with putty till it was totally uniform to the surface. after everything set, I painted it black. after a month, it started to crack on the putty, so I fiberglassed the top using fibercarbon. I left it textured for my picture, but just fecently i filled it flat, and am finishing the polish jov, should look decent.

but thats how i got the deck in there, at least.
