Alarm System need help!

Well, for my birthday my parents are buying me an alarm system for my car. I really dont know much about alarm systems. My parents are willing to spend up to $200 for an alarm. I know the brands like Clifford nad Viper but was wanting to know what is the best buy for such money and what do you guys prefer? Thanks

i got a code alarm put in for 300 but its having problems so i have to take it back to the shop and have them fix it. (it goes off when it feels like it, usually about 2 min after i set the dam thing)

i would stay away from DEI alarms (viper, hornet, ect...)

Just as a Side note CLIFFORD is also DEI , and shoud be pretty much stayed away from now....the Waranty is 1 year from the date of manufacture so todays date is August 19 2002 if I sell you an alarm made August 18 2001 there is no Waranty on the alarm....so this is just a warning, and also we have been having alot of trouble with Clifford products recently....I was a Huge Clifford fan at one time, but I've moved on

I use to do it for aliving, go with crimestopper. Everythign is diode protected and they have a lifetime warranty on all parts except remotes obviously. If a customer came in with a problem and the alarm went bad we just swapped a new one for free.
