Wiring Power Inverter

How else can I wire up my inverter? I don't want to use the cig. lighter plug cause it will just look ghetto. Can I splice the wire and hook it up to my Ignition 12 Volt wire? Any input would help.

Thanks,
Steve

Generally it's always best to run a wire straight to the battery. The cig lighter is only safe for a 10 amp draw...
