Fitting Oversized

Hey, I've got some oversized 6 3/4, i know i can use a 6 1/2 spacer and it should fit with just some trimming, however; how do i fit them in the car? Do i just drill through the plastic or what; Do i need some kind of adapter so i can use the stock holes? I need some help here... THX.

Whcih speakers?.. My Rainbows are oversized drivers..even with a 1" Spacer I had to cut the speaker hole in my door bigger..if the basket is huge as well you might have to do the same..also I'd highly reccomend using an MDF Spacer..trimming a plastic one would weaken it's structural integrity and might flex and such..

Cheers
