Is there only one kind of mounting kit for our Civic?

I got a new deck and need a mounting kit.

So far I only seen this one, but I kind of like the stock right now because of the lid and the calm look. Would getting the mounting kit change the calm look? Are there any other choices? Where's a good place to buy these?

if you do a search on mounting kits you'll find that American International is a common kit... That's what I have in my car, look great and fits better! Metra and Scosche also make kits for out car. American International can be bought at BB for 15 duckets..

Are there any mounting kits that keep the fold down flap on the storage area underneath the HU? All the kits I've seen are just open.

I used the Scosche kit, and it fits and looks okay...I am wondering now if I should have used the American International, as dnutz mentioned. It's easy enough to switch, though.

i've got two diffrent kits. one keeps the pocket but without a door, and the other one gets rid of the pocket, and you have a blank panel. as far as the double din kit, my guy at the audio shop i work at is trying to find/make one so i can stack a screen and a hu on top of each other.

I read some articles on here and American International is supposedly the best one out as of now. Build quality, fit, etc, but I noticed the texture of the plastic is totally different from the Civic's. Oh well, I guess better then having the pocket warping or having gaps.

Here is a pic of my kenwood deck with the American International Mounting kit:

It fits in there pretty good, though I wish there was a pocket with a door.
