Question on Capacitors

I am going to have a 4 x 35 rms amp and a 2 x 125 amp in the trunk hooked up to the regular speakers (for now) and 2 10" subs in the back, do you think i would need a capacitor? thanks for your assistance.

You never "need" a capacitor..it's just if you don't want dimmign and don't wanna shell out for a H/O Alternator..but with that little power..no a cap will not be of any use to you.

Cheers

it mentions on the ad that it will give you strong deep bass with no let ups, would that amount of power affect the headlights?

K&N's intake also promises 15hp.. don't beleive ads dude.. with that little power as I've said it will be of no use.. that's not enough power to dim your lights..

Like Mohawk said...a cap is never necessary. It's something that can be added after your system is installed. See if your lights dim or not. It may be that they won't dim until you run othewr accessories like AC. If you do get a cap, remember this...a CAP is a CAP is a CAP. You can buy a 1 Farad cap for anywhere from ~$100 to $200+. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!! might as well save yourself some money. Also, there's nothing wrong with a used cap so check out eBay, you'll find some great delas on there. Goodluck

I'm running two amps. One to power my interiors, and the other to power 1 12inch sub. I bought a cap for it... My lights don't dance anymore... :shrugs:
