I just got my pIoneer speakers ts-a1667 3-way $100 speakers and installed them. I expected more crisp sounds ..like when u listen to a sony walkman and u get all those crisp, clear sounds.. and i was wondering how come i didn't get that kind of sound from my pioneer speakers? i want clear drum , snare, sounds like the sounds of a sony walkman...but oh wellz...does anyone know which speakers mite be able to provide that type of great sound? i mean..pioneer's good..it has good bass but i want more acoustic type of sounds...i need help

I have the same speakers, and mine are very low...Maybe if you amp it you will get the sounds you are expecting. Do you have a high power after market HU or are you still working with the stock HU?? If you have stock this will have alot to do with why you are not getting the sound you are looking for.

Those speakers aren't actually that bad..but given the wonderful car audio environment..to achive the sound you want you need an amplifier..you need to sound deaden your doors. you need an EQ....Cars are horrible as far as acoustics go..specially out cars with the hard plastic panels..padded carpets and cloth seats.....Even the best sounding car audio system can only sound sound as good as a quality home system..and not a hi-fi studio sound system..

It's not the spaekers...you can get very good sound out of most decent speakers..an amplifier is required for the sound you want... a good set for what you want is some JL audio VR 2 ways and an amp that puts out at least 50Wrmsx2 for the front speakers.
