Need help building a box.

I am looking to build my own box for 2 10" JL audio Subs, they say they need 3/4 of a cubic foot, but that sounds kind of small to me...
how much air should I give these things? and does anyone know how I will determine the dimentions of my box? I have never done this before, any help would be awesome...

I also want to mount my amp on top of the box, anyone have any ideas on how I might build a small compartment for it while building the box? going to try to make this sound good and look clean..

if they say use .75^3 ft then use it.

lets use my box for example its 16" x 16" x 12" on the out side, take all those minius the the thickness of the wood 3/4 " on each side so i need to take off 1.5 " to all of my demensions then multiply

14.5 x 14.5 x 10.5 = 2207.xxxxx then divide that by 1728 (12x12x12) so 2207.xxx/1728 = 1.27ft^3 that is before displacement

there ya go

ps i only have 1 sub so my dimensions will be different than yours, also make sure you have 2 different chambers. not a single chamber box for 2 woofers

go to rockfordfosgate.com then go to rf tech or any other company should have a form that figures it out for you or you can just use the regular formula

this guy has been PMing me alot, he doesnt have them yet, and hasnt decided yet.

id go for 10w3-D4's, can be wired for a 4 ohm load, can take a decent amount of power, and would give you a very nice output at 2-3 cubes sealed depending on how deep/tight you want it to play.

can be in less than 2 cubes total too, but id worry about it being a bit boomy at that point, even with the polyfill.
