I'm installing my new H/U tomorrow and just want to make sure that it's the negative terminal that you disconnect from the battery, I've heard ppl say different things on which wire to disconnect and I don't want to fry anything?

RTFM! Disconnect the negative lead first. Then the positive. When re-connecting do the reverse. Connect the positive to the battery first. Then connect the negative to the battery last. Although I guess only disconnecting the negative lead is allright.

I did not remove my negative terminal from the battery and I blew the "Backup" fuse in the fusebox under the hood. Best to remove it.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
