This winter I'm looking to upgrade the stock sound system. I'm not looking to have a ghetto sound... just something that sounds crisp and clean and when needed can hit it hard. I've been looking at HUs from Blaupunkt, Sony, Panasonic, and Pioneer. Speakers I haven't really been looking into quite yet, but I'll have to start looking once the money rolls in. I'm looking to add maybe one sub and not sure if I would need an amp to the whole setup.
Any comments on the above brands or any others. BTW, I have a thing for not doing things 1/2ass. If I get something I want it to be the best quality for the money. Thanks for the help-

Head Unit - Pioneer
Speakers - Infinity Kappa
Amps (yes, you'll need a couple, at least for front speakers and sub) - Rockford or USAcoustics
Subs - MTX, Eclipse, or Polk MOMO (I'd get 1 or 2 10's for a nice, clean, but loud sound)

Make sure you spend some time deciding, although I love these brands. The quality is AMAZING for the money. Also, check out etronics.com for the best prices I have found.

I've heard some bad things about fosgate stuff... also anybody have a link to the eclipse sound stuff?
