Paying a pro.. MDF, Install, Vynuil..Plexi. $550-700US parts and labour..plus subs and amps... a DIY would be hard..but would take ya a week or 3 to do..

$350-400 DIY cost plus time..shops stock alot of things like glue..vynil..carpet..which you'd have to buy seperately..

Stick with the 2. Used JL's Purist enclosure dimensions and add .25cu.ft for best sound...this should bump decent and sound great..or if you wanna spend a little extra (ahem like $200 more) Get a pair of 12W6.V2's

a pair of W6v2's would be better than W3's.. they;d handle more juice..have more escursion and sound better in the proper enclosure..

a Single 12w7 with enough power has the 125% the output of 2 12w3's..think about that one..but it costs the same as 3 w3's lol

2 12W7's hmm..for that you'd need a good 1000+ Watts to feed em and make them happy. Why not a single 13W7 and a JL 1000/1?

even though my comments dont go over big with mohawkboom i must get my words in. if it doesnt have to be JL your options are great - especially since your talking w7 - those dont come cheap. depends what your looking for in a sub. SPL i would do DD9515 for sound quality phase linear aliante 12. or for a good mix ID Max! all around the same range. its your call - give us some more info on what your looking for and we can assist you more

edit - amps are a different story. if you already have you can work with it i guess. also if you give us price range to work with - that would also be great!

for subs SQ is somewhat limited..there's really can't be a best because of the nature of sub bass. But Phase Linear subs are quite awesome from what I've heard..but also a bit Pricey....W7's to my experiance don't sound any better than W6's in the proper enclosure..but they play lower and louder and maintain the same level of quality.. same with the IDMAX, audiomobile MASS, Adire Audio Brahma's....and a few other SQL type subs..

so far the best sounding sub to ym ears was a BA Pro 12.5LF with a PPI21400 behind it.. wasn't even very loud.. but was TIGHT as JL puts it
