my sound system isn't working...PLEASE HELP!!
Ok, I had a sound system in my Nissan Altima, which I just sold to get a 2002 Civic EX Coupe. So I took out my sound system and hooked it up exactly like it was in teh Altima ( which someone else did cause I dont know jack about hooking up sound systems ) and then today I had my new Kenwood DVD/TV installed, and when I went and picked up the car, my system wasn't working ( the people had gone home for the day and left my car there for me to pick up after work so i couldnt' ask anyone about it ). Any ideas on what the problem could be? What would make the system not have ANY sound at all. Its almost like its not even hooked up or something but I know the RCA's are installed in the back of the DVD/TV unit. HELPPPP!!!!

what is the remote turn on wire?
Here is what I did:
- Hooked up the cable with the fuse box on it to the positive bolt on my car battery.
- I hooked the smallest wire to my "wiper" fuse in my car.
- The RCA's are connected to the back of the DVD/TV unit.
- And the ground wire is grounded to a bolt in the trunk.
- And the speaker box and amp are hooked up with basic audio wire.
I was trying to avoid going back to teh store tomorrow incase its just something stupid I can fix myself.

yes, the smallest wire is blue and the wires that go into my amp are the small blue one, the ground and the one going to the battery on my car. as well as the RCA's and the audio wire from my speakers. But thats it.
honestly, i wouldn't mess with it. even if it's an easy fix, you runt eh risk of messing anything up. you paid them to install it, the least they could do is make it work. I'd just take a visual cheeck of things, the power lines and things liek that, don't wast your energy on what they should have done right the first time.

Okay....did you connect the blue wire to your Wiper fuse?.. if so..turn on your wipers and see if the system comes to life... that wire should be wired to the HU...not the wiper fuse

well i paid them to install teh DVD/TV, so im guessing that there gonna say that the sound system in my car isn't there responsibility and that there gonna charge me to hook that up as a seperate service. thats why im trying to avoid going there again.

yes, the blue wire is to the wipers, which is how it was hooked up in my altima and it worked fine in there.
also, it looks like the "REMOTE ON" light on my amp isn't coming on when i turn the car on so it must not be getting power. What cord would effect this?

the amp turns on via a relay by the remote wire.. no remote signal..no turn on.. And yup..gotta remove the HU again..which takes 15 minutes.. connect the blue wire to the remote lead wire on the HU and that should do it.. it's a half hour of yer time...
