infinity install
well, just got through installing 2 12" infinity perfects in a jeep cherokee....
maybe its just me, but i wasn't impressed by those things at all, kinda loud, but sloppy, they aren't tight at all, i thought they would be better for 300 bucks a piece.
so....
once again my Kove subs take the vote, i never thought they would outperform infinity, but they have proven themselves once again..

they only need about 2 watts to get them going...their rather efficient subs.. the only way those would sound sloppy is if they are not in the recomended enclosure....or not installed properly..

Hey would a Rockford Fosgate Power 250.2 be decent enough for 1 Infinity 12.1 in a 1cube sealed box?
My setup (that finally works) doesnt seem so loud, quality is good though

they sound great compared to most other subs, they just aren't as tight as kove....they are installed properly, as far as the enclosure, i didn't buy it, so i have no clue, i just helped the guy do the install... i know they dont need 600 watts each to "get them going", they only take like 350rms...they get loud enough to start bottoming out so its not the power, i was just a little disappointed for the money he paid.

Hi Eric,
Which Kove subs do you have?...also the perfects are a very good sounding sub...very tight clean bass. Only fault would be in the install dude..
im not gonna argue, tho i know the perfects are tried and true, i just wanna know what kind of box you got them in, how much air they have, what tuning (if any) and what way the box was facing.
help me out? im curious....

it IS probably ovverrated, but that sony amp IS 150x2 RMS. I installed one in a 4runner for the stage. I have a hard time believeing that RF fanatic P's can take 150 watts RMS, but i have no doubts that it puts out more than my old earthquake 2.3.
i would HIGHLY reccommend getting a new amp and using the one you have for your stage but you should have no problems running that amp to those subs, i just want to know box design, if you think teh sound is kinda crummy, im thinking the box is a mite small for em...... just a prediction tho.....

i have 2 perfect 12's running off my JBL 1200.1 amp...and they sound disgusting.......(excellent) i think its your amp dude..plus what type of enclosure do you have it in....it is recommended at 1.0 cubic foot box but they sound great in 1.25
