OEM CD Changer with Stock HU

Ok, so this is my first post but I've been reading this forum for a while now. I just bought a 2k2 Civic 4-door and I want to keep the factory HU in there just for security reasons. However, I notice the CD function button on the Changer. I've read some other posts about the HU being an Alpine HU and went over and asked some installers who have been doing this for over 15 years and they told me that was a bunch of crap. I really want to get a Changer but don't want to pay the dealership for it. Could someone who has done this please let me know what model Changer I need to get and any wiring kits that I need to pick up too. I don't want to do an FM-Mod cause it sounds bad so a direct connect is what I am looking for. Thank you.

The HU's are manufactured by Alpine..but they are not Alpine HU's/... Alpine just puts them together using the parts honda says to use.. F-Mod is the only way to go if it's not an OEM Changer

I know it's not much difference, but if you end up going the oem route, try http://www.handaaccessories.com/civelec01.html they should have it cheaper, but still ridiculously overpriced
