my video idea...suggestions?
i found a sharper image brand 5.6" lcd screen on ebay for $96, it doesn't look like theres anything wrong with that deal. now check this. it mounts on like a little stand. Also, my cd player has audio in jacks. So....
#1 - fabricate plastic/fiberglass piece to go over cupholders to mount the screen to, run wire back behind cupholders through that slit.
#2 - mount ps2 somewhere, run video out to this screen, run audio outs to cd player aux., and power the ps2 w/ the power inverter and the cigarette lighter (or better yet, straight wire it to the battery)
whatcha think?
eric

make sure you can get power and a signal to that lcd. two things you want to look at...
signal source? is it RCA? s-video? if it is, you are set.
power source? is it 12 volts? that will make it easier, if not, you will have to do some odd tricks to get power to it. furthermore, if it IS 12 volt, does it need a regulated supply? your car will put out from 12 to over 14 volts in given conditions, thats ok for this screen? if not you will have to do more fancy work to get your LCD power.
do you plan to run your ps2 off an AC converter? if so, you have a POSSIBLE solution, no matter what voltage your lcd requires. cell phones and discmen all come with power supplies, from around a volt or even less to 24 volts or even higher. all run off AC power. lets say your LCD in fact runs off 4.5 volts of power. thats fine! you can get a power dealy for a cd player (most are 4.5 or 6 volts) and hack it to get the wires to plug in. theres yoru power problem solved. (I am not taking into account regulated power, I hope the ac inverter can do that job)
hope this is useful in some sort of way.....

Look what I Did, i just cut a whole in that piece right above the cup holders where the cig. lighter is.. and made my 5.6 screen there, then all I did was Carbon Fiber the whole piece including the screen look..

real carbon? and can you take a closer pic? i wanna see that carbon job.
you did very nice mold work, i must admit. i like it alot.
that kind of skill goes very far in the audio industry...

no, it's not real carbon. He mentioned in his post about how he did it that he bought some carbon fiber look alike paper from EBay, and stuck it on! Not quite the same skill required as real carbon, but it still looks pretty good. Shifters in the way, but oh well!
Its just Carbon Fiber Sticker crap off of ebay for like $15 it did a great job, covered up alot of crap, and matches my Carbon Fiber Dash Kit, so it looks half way factory.. Its not paper.. Thanks for the comments, and really the Shift isnt in the way taht much for the ppl in front cuz you get a side angle on it, and in the back ppl just have to sit up to see it.. its not a big problem at all, my friens love it... thanks again!
