Oh yeah..and then some...my frien was the regional distributor for Crossfire before he got a job with Kenwood. a BMF 1000D Costs him a whopping $143 CAD ($90US) he sells it to a shop for $430. The MSRP is $999CAD, Shops sell it for $800. Now that's $750 markup Distro makes $3bills. Shop makes $3 bills. You just took it up the [IMG]i/expressions/moon.gif[/IMG]. In canada a JL 12W7 dealer cost is $800. MSRP is $1400. Shops sell for $1200.
Cerwin Vega HED's cost a Dealer $75CAD. MSRP is $200 Delaers sell for $150. That a 100% Profit..
It's disgusting....but then again if you own a shop. There's ALOT of overhead costs...so it's partly warranted..that's capitalism for you..

If people would take the time to research the "low end" products...instead of just assuming that the more expensive brand is the best...they could put together a quality system...with great sound imaging at an affordable price.
