The bigger, the better. But the required enclosure will be bigger too. I'm running two 12"s in a sealed box, and it takes up half of my trunk. SO the choice is yours... The 12" will allow you to hit lower notes and will be more efficient (louder for same amplifier power). If you are comparing a 10 and a 12 from the same brand/line, the transient response and sound quality will be comprable providing the enclosure is properly designed.

also, it depends on what u listen to, the 10" is a good overall sub, better bass than an 8", but faster, more accurate response than a 12"(for quick beats like the bass drum of rock), however, if u listen to more rap, then the 12"(or even 15") would be good for u, since they can hit the tones just out of reach of even the best 10"
Baisicly, if u listen to rock( or a good mix of everything), you want a 10", if u listen to mostly or only rap, a 12" is the way to go

11 or 13" I say.. a nice Focal Polkev 13 ported could be good ..
Okay..okay..I'd get a good sounding accurate small box 12.

I'd stay away from 8"s unless you use at least two or three of them in a vented enclosure. they just dont go low enough in a sealed enclose, like the one you posted.
It is up to your musical selection, but remember that bigger is better. no matter what, a 12 will sound better overall than a 10, PROVIDING that the enclosures are properly designed for volume, stiffness and absence of leaks. You may get slightly better transient response in a 10, but the 12 will give you far superior performance.
