total money spent on sub $240 sell for hopefully $180.... so then I have nothing but $180 toward new sub's amp' an enclosure.... an I'm sure I'll be over $480 which is the total money I'd of spent jus to have 2 10in infinite basslinks.. each with their own 200 or somethign like that wat amp installed...
they are called bassshakers, ppl use them...whatever. if you like it, i guess....
a pair of basslink will work, jsut realize that assuming zero cancellations (which is not very likely) youll only get a 3 dB increase, thats the max gain you can get. of course, numbers mean nothing when it comes to actual in car performance
but yeah, the only thing to worry about is cancellations. easiest way to demonstrate this is to play a 1000 Hz test tone from yoru computer speakers, cup your hand over one ear (so you are only listening through the other) and move your head back and forth, side to side. you will hear a "wa-wa" sound as you pass though standing wave nodes and anti-nodes. While this is not as severe a problem with bass, it doesnt mean it does not exist! you can lose MASSIVE amounts of pressure where you want there to be high pressure (like the headrests and windshield) and "concentrate" all of it where you dont want it (somewhere your head will never be to appreciate it!)
my advice would be to go to teh shop and tell them what you wanna do, and see if they have a floor model they can take out to your car and you can play around with mounting locations and listening to music. if you like it? buy it! if you dont? look for another solution.......

GRifter, what i got from th way u were explaining it is that you would put them on either side of the trunk, and face them directly at each other. I was told that this will pretty much cancel everything out, and youll hear practicly nothing, so if u do it this way, u wanna put them on an angle so theyre not firing at eachother

I'd say sell it.. buy a pair of Cerwin Vega HED's and a small (300 watt) amp and you're set it will put out alot more bass than basslink can. And Vega HED's can sound pretty good in 1.3 cubes sealed.

haha far be it for me to attempt to solve his problem/question, when mowhawk can give a suggestion that is not anything he was asking for, yet is a far far far better solution... I second mowhawk's decision, tho i question his sub choice can get smaller box subs than that.......
