My friend just got a sub and an amp i want to help him hook it up to his car how do we do it he has a 2000 civic dx(hatch)) please help!

Well, since this had been done to death, I think i can answer it correctly. well, what you need to do is get a line level comvertor to change the speaker lines into RCA outputs. Or, if you amp has line level inputs, you can use the line leven inputs to connect the rear channels to the amplifier.

sorry for the dumb question but i think hes amp does take speacker wires but which wire do we run back to the amp all the speacker wires or just 2 or 1~

Well assuming you're mounting the amp in the trunk, you can just tap the rear speakers right in the trunk. Then all you have to run is you battery and remote leads.
