A question to sound experts?
Ok I bought the Alpine 7894 it has a sub control feature, i can turn it on and off increase power and decrease it and bunch other stuff. My question is: do i need an amp to run a sub cuz i dont want one the deck is pretty loud by itself and i really like the sub control feature? does it need to be an alpine sub or not?

You would need an amp for the subwoofer dude. It can be any sub,,,,yor HU has 3 sets of RCA outputs..one is the sub output.

Even with the amp you can control the sub seperately. I mean I have the 7894 and that is how it works for my to Type R's
