replaced stock HU.... regrets!

replaced stock HU.... regrets!
Well I went and replaced my stock HU today with a Pioneer DEH-3400. Its a nice head unit.... but I did not like it at all. I couldn't see the display in the daytime, I had trouble getting it mounted correctly (probably my own stupidity) and I don't like how it looks (again, my stupidity?) The unit itself is probably very very good, I think I prefer the look and feel of the stock one.... I'm going to put the stock back in this afternoon [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG]

Rep Power: 0 save up a some money and get the pioneer HU that has organic el. you can see the display clearly during the day. I have a picture of my HU here. hope the link works. don't settle for stock! I took out my stock HU and put the pioneer 7300 in with the stock speakers and all I could say was wow.

i can see it in day, night, and my arm natually rests on teh buttons, allowing for very easy control.

Rep Power: 0 Well I took it back to best buy today and told them I my problems and how I didn't like it and they instead put in the DEH-6300 with organic el for the same price as the other one.... like $40 bucks off! I still have somethings I don't like about it, and I think I was happy enough with the stock one.... I think I'll save this for some day when I have more money to blow on this because right now I don't feel good enough about the things I'll have to deal with to feel comfortable with blowing all that money.

Rep Power: 0 I think many people have this same problem (I know I do), but it doesn't really bother me. Only time I really need to look at the deck is if I want to know the time, but that's not often, otherwise, don't really care what's on it.

Rep Power: 0 I could care less what's showing on my screen most of the time. As long as I can hear the music coming through the speakers. I can block the light if I need to see the clock or something. If I am going to be looking at the screen for extended periods of time (changing settings and such) I don't park it in the sun. Common sense.

Rep Power: 0 I bought the Panasonic CQ-DF602 which has 3DDM LCD & a dimmer for night & day design...but even at it's brightest, it's still not visible during the day...but then again it really doesn't matter as long as it sounds good & looks good lit up at night w/ your dash.

Rep Power: 0 i just dont understand why the stock display is able to be seen during the day, but with most aftermarket HUs ppl have trouble seeing them....wtf is so different about them? also, what major HUs are there that ppl know of that can be seen during the day easily?
