new speakers and amp to Stock HU. How?
I did some searching (not often done buy us newbie’s)
I suppose that all I need to accomplish hooking up my amp and new speakers to the Stock/OEM HU is to get the adapter that converts to RCA plugs.
So,
the adapter hooks into the stock HU.
amp goes to the RCA plugs on the adapter.
crossover goes to the 1st channel on the amp.
front speakers go to the crossover.
tweeters go to the crossover.
12" saucer sub is bridged to the 2nd channel on the amp. (For thoes of you wondering what a saucer sub is click here)
rear 2-way speakers go to the adapter.
amp goes to battery.
remote cable goes to custom switch which is wired to the ignition.
amp goes to ground.
Does that sound about right? I better print this out so I will remember when my speakers and amp get here in the next day or two.
Last question: Where can I buy this adapter? I don't want to have to order one.
Thanks all-ya-all

You could also just buy an amp that has high-level inputs, then you wouldn't need the adapter, just wire right from the speaker outs. You might want to make 100% sure you really want to stick with the stock HU, people never seem to realize how much better even a low-priced aftermarket will improve your sound over the stock one. Also, a new HU will most likely have the RCA pre-outs you need for your amp.

I already baught the amp, and yes I am going to get a new HU - Just not yet.
I spent my budget on the speakers and amp, so the next month or so.
But besides that; is my wiring correct?

I just got the amp. Brown is so nice.
I sopose that I will need some sort of fuse for the power line?
I will also need to get some U shapped conector things for the speakers wires to the amp?
I will also need some RCA cables?
I was thinking of puting the amp under the passenger seat. Good idea?
I still need to know where I can get the adapter. Will the adapter have 4 RCA plugs? 2 for front and 2 for rear?

I think the RCA adaptors typically have 2 RCA jacks.
I wired one of these adaptors into my stock HU and I get nothin'. Kinda pissed me off that I spent all that time installing my sub and it doesn't work. I'm just gonna save for a Pioneer HU, but it would still be nice to be able to use it with the stock HU until then.

My best suggestion would be to do what your doing with the line out converter, but just make sure you get a good quality one. There are even some that will come with a bass level controller. Just remember you get what you pay for.
