problem installing dead unit - dash lights not working now

problem installing dead unit - dash lights not working now

ok i installed my deck it was working until i screwed everthing back in.
now my dash does not light up, cd does not work, and keyless entry doesn't work either.
i checked some fuses and they were ok. anyone know what could be the problem?
oh, and my srs light is on too.

dude take out your center console and plug those three plugs back into the heater/controls unit . one of them came unplugged whne you ere installing it no big deal it shouldnt take you more than 10 mins to fix =) good lu8ck!

Did you check the fuses under the hood. The fuse box is by the battery. That same thing happened to me when I installed my HU. Now I know why they say disconnect the battery terminal.

i checked the fuses and the backup fuse was blown. now everything works except the dash lights!

mohawk, how do they repair the dash lights? what does "blew the dash panel" mean exactly.
hopefully i can weasel my way to have it repaired under warranty.

If you want to weasel your way into them fixing it, put in your old unit, tell them you dont know what happened.

im sure you already fixed the problem...when people have this happen after putting in a new CD deck they usually run the dimmer wire to the CD player to the wrong wire so it sends a power signal back to the dash shuttin it off
