What sub/amp combo for under $350 US?

Hey guys, I just want to add a little bottom end to my Pioneer DEH-P9300. What do you suggest? I was thinking maybe a single 12 or 10 is all I really want.

Go on eBay!!! Because you want to do both for under $350.00, go on eBay. That is what I would of done if I wanted mine to stay under $350.00, check it out at eBaymotors.com. I would recommend a 12" Jl Audio sub since you are only going for one sub right now. Box the sub up and throw it in your trunk with some grill guards on it so you can still use the trunk without much worry about damaging the sub. Hook up a Rockford Fosgate Punch 200M with your 12" and you should be set. Now that I think of it, you could almost go to Best Buy or some other similiar store and get those two items for around $350.00 and still have top quality and brand new stuff. Obviously, you really do not want to go with used equipment if you can get away with it. But, sometimes you can find brand new stuff on eBaymotors for cheap and if not check out a Best Buy type store. I live in the flame throwing hot desert and did not want to risk a used amp in this heat of ours because this heat of ours just tears them up. But maybe, you are in a different climate and situation? I hooked up my ride with a Pioneer 8400, Pioneer 1667s, Rockford Fosgate Punch 200M, Rockford Fosgate Punch 500X, Dynamat trunk and door kit and then some, and 2-12" JL Audio subs. It is sweet and tight in all the right places!!! Good luck and just have fun with it!!! I have 1 kenwood 12, Kenwood 600w amp and a kenwood HU all for $260usd. I just took my time and bought each piece over time. All of it came from different friends who I trusted and who were up-gradeing.

Why are you selling them? I gotta admit that I'm a noob when it comes to anything automotive..... especially car audio (funny thing is that I work with professional sound and lighting in my spare time...:laugh

Give me a little time to do a little research on the parts and I'll get back to you on that one. I have a buddy that is originally from Montreal and goes back often..... I might ask him to pick up the stuff if I decide to buy them.... I'm only a couple hours on the 401 away

No prob.. I'm selling them because I had them in ym civic when I first got the car. My last car got ran over by a garbage truck and my system was trashed. So I got all this at good pricing and was paid for by my insurance company. I changed amps quick because I got a bonus from work and switched to U-Dimension amps. Which I've sold and now run Arc Audio amps..and Audiomobile Subs.

The subs and amp have been in my closet for about 5 months now. I been trying to convince ym g/f to put them in her jetta but she ain't havin it. She's happy with her 1 10" sub and 4 chanel amp.

So.. I noticed you were from canada. Ordering from the US. something that's $350US will cost you about $440+ US after taxes, and duty..$350 for a pair of pretty kickbutt subs and a good solid amp. Eh..I figure why not. the $500 will get me some fogs and finally instally my Tsunami front lip.

The subs dual 6ohm VC's so with that amp you'll only be pushing 450 watts. but these subs have 100oz magnets 16mm of escursion and are rather efficient. They use the same motor and cone as JL W3's but with a bigger magnet and Cast steel basket... Research away...It's the best way to learn...better than learning the hard way.

Cheers
Mohawk

Dude, it's all about the Infinity Basslink! I love mine. The main selling point for me was how little space in the trunk it takes up, and it sounds great! Get it on eBay, great deals there.

these are all good suggestions, but none will match the SQ or teh SPL of a shiva and 500 watts of power:

this ENTIRE install was done for something like $370:

shiva from ampman, $125 shipped
install kit from scala, $25 plus shipping
box: $30 for EVERYTHING, including terminal box, screws, etc.
vinyl: $30, 20 for stuff, 10 for spray adhesive
earthquake thrust 400x, can be had for $150 or less on ebay, shop around for a good deal.

and 300-500 watt amp will work, as long as it puts that power out at 4 ohms!

this is a classic setup, the bass is so clean and amazing, i didnt believe how nice it sounded when we first hooked it up.

but you cant go wrong with shiva, not for some midlevel SQL bump.
