2005 VP won't charge the battery

the battery is less then a year old. The battery light started flickering and the car went dead. I replaced the alternator. And now it won’t charge the battery.

I can keep the battery charged when its hooked up to jumper cables. But as soon as I remove the cables. The battery starts losing voltage and the car dies again.

Ground issue somewhere? Check all chassis and engine grounds. Get alternator and battery yesterday at A-zone or other parts store.

Re: 2005 VP won't charge the battery

check fuse - the main one.
Also, loose bolts cause the alternator to not charge.

warning! loose bolts linked to ECU frying, so solve ASAP

I got it working. FINALLY. After numerous times of removing the powersteering pump and adjusting the belt it started working. First the belt was to tight. Then to loose. Finally got it.

You have to remove or atleast move the power steering pump to get at the alternator
