Adding aux input to 2002 EX sedan

So I bought this aux adapter so I could connect my phone to the factory radio. I installed it and it worked perfect. The next day I tried using it while the engine was running and it didn't work. You could barely hear the music and there was a ticking sound that got faster as the RPM's increased. I returned it for a refund. I don't know if I just got a dud or are they all bad?

So what are people using for aux adapters? There isn't much out there anymore. You look on ebay and amazon and they almost all look like the one I purchased.

Thanks, Josh

Why don't you just get an aftermarket head unit with BT and an aux input? They're pretty cheap these days.

Because I don't like aftermarket stereos. They look bad and are never as user friendly as the factory radio.
