thezeb.com screwed me over

So today was the day when I would get my components installed and be on my merry way...NOT. First, off I ordered the Focal 165V's from thezeb.com and after having talked with them and everything seemed merry, today getting them installed I find out that these speakers will NOT fit. So I'm like alright I'll just call them up and get a return for the 5 inch size (next step down in sizing). Ohh, they'll take a return but they're gonna take $56 from me for their stocking fee and shipping. What the heck, the email from them states that they would take a charge for returns, but no $$$ is mentioned. I figured they would take a percentage but not that much. I am so pissed, the only thing I can do is at the place I'm getting them installed, they'll trade me the 5inch for the 6 inch set so then I'll just have to swallow a loss of $30. I guess this is what I'm gonna have to do. I'm just soooo pissed My advice don't bother with the zeb after I have been praising them for sometime now. If anyone has the 165's size in their car, you better check on em cause the speaker rubbs on the cover. Meaning in time your speakers will rub through and it's sound like crap.

sounds like you need a bigger spacer or should have done some more research before you bought the speakers. Restocking fees are pretty normal so I wouldn't be angry about that. Sorry if I sound like an a$$, but you should have researched the product a little more before buying it. I hope everything works out for you. peace.

umm ya I did research the product the sizes listed for the civic and the depth of the speaker are supposed to be compatable, but for some reason they aren't. For it to fit, the speaker will be touching the grill and in time it will vibrate enough that the grill will go through the speaker.
