How Hard to Install CD Changer?

I may be able to get the OEM CD changer for cheap, but I would have to install it myself. I took a look at the instructions posted on the site, under the Downloads section, but it seems a bit intimidating to me. You have to practically tear apart the dash and interior of the car to get the wires to run from the headunit to the trunk.

I would feel safer if I didn't have to open up the dash, centre console, back seats, but for a proper installation you have to do these things unfortunately. I've never done any of this, but I'm sure all you people with subs in the trunk have done the same thing. How difficult is this whole procedure? Do I risk damaging anything? well, budy, get used to it, because in this car you pretty much have to rip apart the whole damn thing to do anything. After awhile you'll be able to do it in your sleep. go for it, it's not too difficult. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. IT's a good learning experience.

Good luck!

dont worry dude. i used to be the same way as you. but as time passed i have installed my own aftermarket cd player amd changer. it is actually kinda fun knowing that you didn't get ripped off by the guys at the installation shops and the extra cash could go toward better stereo equipment for something really simple. just take the first step and you should have much more confidence in the future. i plan to install my own component speakers and amp+sub combination in a little while.
