I've been considering stepping down my order to just have 1 nice 10" instead of 1 nice 12". I am not all about the huge amounts of lowend. I just want enough to give it a little kick. you know?

i also have a JL 10" w3, but its being pushed by a JL 250W mono- subwoofer amp. hey, srfdog88, does it seem to you like the cone distorts with only moderate volume levels?, i mean its more on tracks with a beat and continuous drone type bass, ya know what i mean? well, anyway, im pretty happy with it. what have you guys done for the newer and bigger vibrations and rattles, i installed the dynamat trunk kit, and filled the trunk lid w/ foam, what else can i do? how do the show cars get more bass than me, yet have zero rattles? not competition cars, actual show cars w/ nice interiors? any help?

I run a XTANT A410 Subwoofer powered by a XTANT A6001 Amplifier, that 600x1 watts rms and most likely more when it gets going.

This combination put over 125dB in competition for me, and almost wins for me everytime in competition around here. Everybody believes that JL is the best, that's what I thought until I bought my XTANT, I find them to be much better, they hit harder and the sound better.

I have an MTX T6104 sub in a bandpass box with a kenwood 600 watt amp. I'll get a pic of it up when I get my car back from the dealership(you can read my horror story in the vehicle issues forum). It sounds pretty good to me. I still have stock speakers, but plan on upgrading shortly.

I have a custom made box and it is sealed. i have no problem with it distorting at all. It sounds good with all volume levels. i've always bought JL and this is what ill stick with. By the way X tant amps kick @ss also.
