No antenna after pulling under dash fusebox 2001
No antenna after pulling under dash fusebox 2001
Just bought a 2001 Civic LX and I pulled down the under dash fusebox to check the window fuses.( I disconnected the battery first). After putting it back the after-market radio (Eclipse) behaves as though there is no antenna. What could I have done while messing with the fusebox that would disable the antenna?
Thanks
Thanks

You CERTAIN you didn't yank out the antenna lead from the radio or the console? (I think the antenna cable has a connector near the front of the center console down low. Maybe not.. I can't remember.)
01 coupe would have an amplified antenna, and it would have been powered off of the original radio.
IF the aftermarket radio did not have a 12v output to run that antenna amp, then someone could have wired it to the fusebox.
Or maybe they just ignored it and you just now discovered it never had good reception?

Thanks, ezone.
I haven't figured out how to get to the back of the radio yet to check the antenna. Reception was perfect before I messed with the fuse box.

I was thinkin.....
I have seen where people didn't have the correct adapter to match up a factory antenna wire to an aftermarket radio and just twisted wires together....Maybe that was done and you yanked it apart? IDK, I can't see it from here.
At any rate, you need to retrace your steps and inspect near all the areas you just were working in.
Maybe google for how to remove the radio.
