no gauges working

Hello fellow civickers,

wondered if anyone would be able to help,

-sometimes when I turn on the car (2002 civic coupe) I get no instrumentation panels coming on (speedometer, odometer), and then after a few minutes it flickers and comes on.
I cleaned and adjusted all my battery terminals (engine bay), thinking perhaps a dodgy earth / battery connection.
Today it all turned on, but whilst driving it disappeared (everything else works - lights/engine! etc), then after 5 mins it flickered for a bit, and came on.
So would someone be able to point me in the right direction...
where should I look for the instrument cluster connections, I guess they are in the footwell? but which ones exactly there are so many there? thanks for any advice

Chris.

Re: no gauges working

Take your cluster out and clean the connections. On my 97 it was easy to get out but not to sure about yours but should be simple.
