Double Din Dash Kit for my 2005 Honda Civic Ex Special Edition
Double Din Dash Kit for my 2005 Honda Civic Ex Special Edition
Ok so i just bought a new pioneer double din cd/dvd Its a Avh-2400, The problem now is that im going to try to by installing it this weekend and i have read lots of threads saying how the Special Edition has a different fit than all the other no SE versions, so not the normal dash kit will not fit nice on the head unit
My question is whether there is a Dash kit from metra or other companies who make it for the SE model ??? and if so where can i find it ?
Ive heard i can always swap the dash to a non SE model but idk, im looking to see if i can install it without doing that and btw my car is a 2005 honda civic ex SE, and already has a double din factory 6 cd changer.
Thanks for your time and any help would be great

The SE is already Double-DIN, trust me
I'm pretty sure there's nothing specifically made for the SE, but any DD stereo should fit without much trouble

technically the new pioneer radio should pop rite in im not100% on that though. you would need the dash kit if you switched to a single din radio. the EX would require a double din dash kit yes and ebay.

Isn't the SE stereo a Pioneer also?
Whatever it is, it sounds great from the factory.

Well after installing the stereo which btw its was a Avh-2400 the sound was GREAT !! way better than stock, now next week i will be installing the subwoofers,
The problem was that not any double sin stereo will fit the Honda civic ex se there is space all around the stereo, i did get some kind of thing to cover around the stereo but it didnt fit so i might just cut it and try to make it look as clean as possible, other than that the stereo was great and i didnt hook up the illumination or Dimmer cable seems alot of people are having issues with those and didnt want to risk it, but just letting yall know
