Electrical issue
Electrical issue
The other day I was reconnecting a loose wire on my headunit's harness. As I went to put headunit back in I heard a pop. I turn the car on, no power to the headunit. Then I realize that my doors will only lock/unlock with the key turned over. I also noticed my dash will not light up when the key is not in the ignition, even if the lights are on. The orange illumination wire is disconnected and has been capped since I put the HU in.
I checked a couple fuses that I thought could be the culprit but everything looked fine and swapping in other fuses in their place did nothing. Does anyone know what happened? Did I just blow a fuse? Did I fry something? Any hidden fuses I should check?
Thanks for the replies.

Re: Electrical issue
one in your engine bay (near the passenger side front wheel)
Thats under the hood as lots of them here call it right? Or is it under the dash(inside the car) on passenger side.(by the glovebox).
So there is one under the steering wheel inside the car?
